Jeff Vistica, CFP® – Wealth Advisor
At Vistica Wealth – Jeff Vistica founded Vistica Wealth Advisors in 2015 to provide clients a place to receive unbiased, evidence-based advice. Above all else, the guiding principle of the firm is to place the interests of all current and future clients at the forefront of every decision. Jeff assists clients in developing long-term investment strategies that help each client solve financial issues and position them to achieve all that is important to them. His clients include individuals, families, retirement plan sponsors and institutional trustees.
Prior Experience – Jeff was a 2005 founding member of a similar independent Registered Investment Advisor firm, where he honed his vision for what became Vistica Wealth Advisors. He has been a financial professional in a variety of capacities since 2000, gaining seasoned experience from advisory positions at Mass Mutual, American Express and GE Financial.
The Family Tree – After a few years of encouragement, Jeff recruited his father, Dan Vistica, to join Vistica Wealth as a follow up to Dan’s own seasoned career as an accountant and CFO. With any luck, Jeff’s son Henry (born in 2014) or daughter Daisy (born in 2015), might someday join the firm as well.
Education/Credentials – Jeff is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner and an Accredited Investment Fiduciary®. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Loyola Marymount University.
Industry/Community – Jeff is an active member and financial literacy volunteer for the Financial Planning Association. He currently sits on the community board and chairs the investment committee for Interfaith Community Services in Escondido, CA.
Personally Speaking – Jeff lives in Carlsbad, CA with his wife Lily and two children. To unwind, he enjoys golf, surfing and practicing yoga.
Dan Vistica, MS-Tax – Wealth Advisor
At Vistica Wealth – An action-oriented tax professional, former CFO and seasoned baseball operations executive, Dan’s rich experience and passion for leading by example adds considerable depth to the Vistica team. Drawing from over 30 years in varied business, finance, investment and accounting senior management roles, Dan enjoys advising other high-end professionals on how to turn their concentrated income into durable personal wealth for themselves and their families. He brings a distinct combination of perspectives as a wealth advisor, business leader and individual investor.
Prior Experience – Before joining Vistica Wealth, Dan was CFO for the Sacramento River Cats for 15 years (recognized by Forbes as the most valuable minor league professional baseball franchise). He also formed and chaired the Club’s philanthropic foundation. Before that, he served in several senior financial and management positions, overseeing a range of administrative and operational logistics for publicly and privately owned companies in the oil field service and environmental engineering industries. Dan launched his career as a tax manager and auditor at Deloitte, Haskins & Sells, CPAs (now Deloitte).
The Family Tree – After raising Jeff and his two brothers, Dan and his wife Annette enjoy time with their grandchildren and families while pursuing their own active lifestyle with friends.
Education/Credentials – Dan is a CPA (inactive) and member of the American Institute of CPAs and the California Society of CPAs. He has a master’s degree in taxation from Golden Gate University and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Loyola University.
Industry/Community – Dan served on the U.S. Bank Advisory Board of Directors in Sacramento and formed the non-profit River Cats Foundation, Inc. He also chairs the Finance and Scheduling Committees for the Pacific Coast League of Minor League Baseball, and is past president for the North Ridge Country Club in Fair Oaks.
Personally Speaking – Dan splits his time between Sacramento and San Diego. He enjoys staying fit and a round of golf with family and friends.
Mike Giulianotti, EA – Director of Business Development
At Vistica Wealth – Mike’s main focus and passion is to advise his fellow West Coast executives and business professionals on how to optimize their company retirement plans – for themselves and their valued employees. He enjoys applying his first-hand experience to help retirement plan sponsors find balance between offering exemplary participant education while enabling them to outsource burdensome investment management fiduciary duties to our Registered Investment Advisor firm and its team of wealth managers.
Since 1993, Giulianotti has been president and principal owner of JSG Associates, providing contract CFO and financial services to a variety of multi-million dollar companies in manufacturing, energy, construction, engineering, defense, electronics, software, telecommunications, aquaculture and life sciences. He applies this experience in selecting and administering numerous employee plans to help shape our distinct retirement plan services solution.
Prior Experience – Mike has been a business and financial professional for over 30 years, including 20 years of experience with several multinational, public and private companies with revenue earnings ranging between $40 million–$2.5 billion. Prior to his business career, he was a public accountant for eight years in Scotland and the Channel Islands.
The Family Tree – Mike and his wife Chris were born and educated in the U.K. They met and were married in the Channel Islands where they lived for five years. They have three sons and four grandchildren. Mike became a part of the Vistica Wealth extended family in the late 1990s, when he met Jeff; they fast became close business colleagues and golfing partners.
Education/Credentials – Mike is a Scottish Chartered Accountant, and studied law, economics and accounting at the University of St. Andrews, Scotland. He is an Enrolled Agent and holds the Series 65 license.
Industry/Community – When not actively involved in various business activities, Mike serves on the finance committees of the Interfaith Community Services and St Gabriel’s Catholic Church in Poway. He is director of the Twin Oaks Men’s Golf Club and past director of the Poway Business Park Association. He is also active with the Knights of Columbus and is a past Grand Knight.
Personally Speaking – Mike enjoys time spent with his family in the U.S. and overseas. He is a keen golfer, passable swimmer and enthusiastic stamp collector.
